E-ALERT: Operation Medicine Drop Set for Saturday

In recognition of National Poison Prevention Week (March 20-26), the Wake Forest Police Department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation, and Safe Kids North Carolina to host Operation Medicine Drop on Saturday, March 26. The medicine drop-off event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. behind the Wake Forest Town Hall, along Taylor Street.

Operation Medicine Drop is a prescription and over-the-counter medication take back initiative designed to promote proper medication disposal. By providing a safe and secure way to get rid of unwanted pills, tablets, and other medications, Operation Medicine Drop helps prevent accidental poisonings and drug abuse while also protecting local rivers and streams. The grassroots effort is a partnership of Riverkeepers of NC, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of NC, and local law enforcement agencies.
