We just received word from the Town of Wake Forest that work is scheduled to be done on a section of North Allen road this coming Monday:

A portion of North Allen Road, from East Juniper Avenue to East Perry Avenue, will be closed Monday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while work crews remove and replace the existing storm drain.

Signed detours will be in place, but motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to avoid the area and utilize an alternate route.

TRAFFIC ALERT – Wingate Avenue

I got another alert today about Wingate Avenue … This one is effective tomorrow, so I thought I’d better post it today:

Drivers can expect delays on Wingate Avenue, from Durham Road to Stadium Drive, throughout the day Wednesday, March 23, while crews resurface sections of the roadway.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to avoid the area Wednesday and, if possible, utilize an alternate route.
