There was a big splash in the news last week about a major rescue of a church youth group on the Uwharrie River in central NC which included several kids from the Living Word Family Church here in Wake Forest. Everyone was recovered safe and unharmed. Wake Forest Church Group Rescued From Uwharrie River in Montgomery County

Perhaps God was looking down on a church group from Wake Forest today when they ran into rough water on the Uwharrie River in Montgomery County. They called 911 when the groups became separated. Listen to the call here.

Members of the Living Word Family Church of Wake Forest were on a canoe trip with other church youth groups when the river rose suddenly. Luckily, all were accounted for and no one was injured, according to the News and Observer story.
