The “First Light Wake Forest” will take place downtown on South White Street. The party starts on Thursday, December 31, at 7:00 PM, and goes until 12:30 AM New Year’s morning

For the early-birds, there will be a Children’s countdown at 9:00 PM. The party will include face painting, inflatables, and Sleeping Booty, a ten-piece band from Raleigh (sort of). Sleeping Booty will perform at 8:00, 10:00 and 11:30 pm.

Fireworks at midnight.

O, Say, Can You Sing? Community Chorus Looking for Singers

One of the top events of the year in town is always the fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day. This year, special programming is being added to honor the town’s centennial celebration.

Volunteer singers are welcome to join the Wake Forest Singers and Wake Forest Baptist Church Choir during the Centennial Fireworks Celebration at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School’s Trentini Stadium on Friday, July 3.
