Fall in Love with Downtown during the weekend of February 12-14.
Friday, February 12—Art After Hours
Take a free horse-and-carriage ride along South White Street between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. (weather permitting). Downtown merchants will host live music, wine tastings and artist openings.
Saturday, February 13
Strolling tenor Phillip Ogle and his accompaniment will serenade downtown visitors and will hand out a small treat for the ladies.
His group will perform 3-part harmony at these locations:
Twisted Vine—Free wine tasting on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
The Cotton Company—Enjoy complimentary sweets, champagne and sparkling cider. Register to win a Bumbleride stroller valued at $500.
Sprig—Enjoy Valentine’s cookies and juice. Lavender, white, pink and red roses.
The Lemon Tree—Sips & Nibbles from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Register to win a $25 gift certificate with any purchase.
Sunflower Studio & Gallery features the 2009 Paint Party Participants for AAH’s on Friday, December 11th. Those that attended our adult classes in 2009 are asked to bring in their favorite painting to show and/or sale. All guest gallery commissions will go to Tri-Area Ministry and we will also have a donation jar available for those wishing to give support during this critical time of need. We will have live music with Larry Kirwan on the hammered dulcimer and he will have his Christmas CD’s available for sale. Also see the latest works of Sunflower Studio’s six resident artists. The Sunflower guest gallery will feature the unique landscape paintings of artist Micah Mullen. His style of work involves very complicated compositions created with hundreds of grids of varying colors resulting in vibrant, abstracted landscapes. Additionally, come out and see some great works of art by the six resident artists in the Sunflower.
