Never heard of Parkour? It is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one’s path by adapting one’s movements to the environment. It is non-competitive, great exercise and incredibly fun.

Wake Forest Parkour is holding a Parkour Class at The Tumble Gym in The Factory, instructed by WFP’s Stephen Carr. This class will focus on foundational parkour techniques. People of all skill levels are welcome to come!

A newly formed chat group for deaf people in the community has a pizza party scheduled for Oct. 16. The location is open to members of the group only on Meetup.com. It appears to be open to anyone who can sign as an opportunity to practice and learn. To become a member, visit the group’s Meetup site. Visitors will be required to sign in or register.

T.O.P.S. of Wake Forest to Celebrate Seventh Anniversary on Monday

Happy 7th Anniversary to Wake Forest TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)!

Wake Forest TOPS will have a meeting and celebration Monday, July 27 from 10 – 11 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 830 Durham Road, Wake Forest.

Join Wake Forest TOPS members as they celebrate seven years of TOPS members losing weight, learning healthy eating by portion control and increased water drinking, and having fun doing this.

TOPS has had two members lose over 100 pounds each and we’ve had lots more members lose weight and reach their weight loss goals.

TOPS is a non-profit weight loss support group which began in 1948. Annual membership is $26 for anyone ages 7-99+.
