Despite the oddities in the weather farmers are able to bring wonderful healthy fresh picked vegetables and strawberries. Cucumbers, early tomatoes, many many varieties of lettuces, cabbage, kale, spinach, leeks, onions, green garlic, radishes, carrots, beets, greens, and I hope shiitake mushrooms. Fresh herbs.
Eggs, eggs, eggs, buy an extra dozen for yourself or to share with a friend who can’t get to the market because of jobs or perhaps someone who is home bound. Share the goodness.
Meat farmers bringing pork, chicken (fresh and frozen) beef, lamb, sausage, ribs and bacon.
Bedding plants: vegetables, flowers and herbs.
Beautiful fresh cut flower bouquets. Honey at The Flour Garden’s booth. Goat Cheese, jams, jelly, pies, empanadas, cinnamon bums, pound cakes, cup cakes. Baked breads, wheat, potato, asiago, focaccia, sprouted wheat, walnut and banana. Granola & sprouted wheat granola, pizza rounds, beautiful hand made jewelry, photography, goats milk soap, fiber, old fashion bonnets, dolls and aprons. Cool unusual shrubs. Rabbit fertilizer – sounds weird but works!
The weather for Saturday morning may be a little damp early on but I believe it will be fine. Think no rain from 8 am to noon!
