The Wake Forest Police and Fire Departments are joining several area public safety units to raise money for the 200 Club of Wake County in a charity softball tournament on Saturday, April 28. The games get underway at 9 a.m. and will be played at The Factory Ballpark, 1839 S. Main St.
According to its website, the 200 Club of Wake County is an organization of concerned citizens dedicated to providing immediate financial help for the spouse and children of police officers, sheriff deputies, firemen, EMS squad members and North Carolina State Highway Patrol serving in Wake County who lose their life in the line of duty.

Admission to the tournament is free, but donations will be accepted.
A concession stand offering hamburgers, hotdogs, and soft drinks for sale will be provided throughout the day on Saturday. All concession sales proceeds will be donated to the 200 Club of Wake County.
